About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care settings and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients. This role requires a blend of personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities, ensuring that clients feel comfortable and supported in their home environment.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.

• Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.

• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.

• Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.

• Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.

• Administer medication reminders and assist with basic health monitoring.

• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or memory-related conditions.

• Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.

• Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate parties.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home community care, adults with disabilities, long-term care, or group home settings is preferred.

• Knowledge of dementia care and memory care techniques is highly desirable.

• Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for this role.

• Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is a plus.

• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
